Is the Sahara Forest Team just a bunch of crazy idealists or will they succeed in greening the deserts? Can you turn seawater into fresh water while at the same time create renewable energy by means of the sun? Will it be possible to get this project to market and into society so that the whole world might benefit? Or will the Sahara Forest technology remain in the hands of the privileged few? And could the project in the extreme help prevent a potential water war in the Middle East?

To answer these questions, the film crew plans to follow the project for at least another year.

“SHE SINGS” is the story of 19 year old Dechen, who dreams of becoming a famous singer. Dechen has recently been selected to participate in the Bhutanese version of X-Factor, and as the competition progresses we follow Dechen and her search for female role-models and an identity of her own. A quest that confronts her with ancient stories of mermaids and curses of the past.

The critics called the film “a unique story from a secluded country” – a film that has managed to present a great deal of present day Bhutan as well as the historic background of the formerly so “closed” country.

“SHE SINGS” was awarded because of the magnificent virtuosity of the filmic landscapes. When producing the film, Caroline Sascha Cogez worked with an artistic  approach to the filmic mode of expression; Colored light and smoke were used to create a magical universe – the borderland between the consciousness and the collective unconsciousness – between the past and the present.

In 2012 the film was on cinema tour in Denmark. February 1^st, 2013 it will be shown in Brussels in Cinema Nova and February 7^th, 2013 at the Glasgow International Film Festival. At this film festival Caroline will also be showing five of her short films. February 27^th “SHE SINGS” will be shown in Tisvilde Bio.

The film is also part of educational material made for Upper Secondary School and Higher Preparatory Examination Course.

Børge Mogensen, the famous and internationally acknowledged furniture designer died in 1972 from a brain tumor at the age of 58. His furniture designs are no longer made in Denmark but the production has been revived in China.

Thomas Mogensen, one of Børge’s two sons, vividly describes the world of the famous architect and the strain that his professional life but on him.

“He wanted to make the chair to end all chairs. And he wanted to design the perfect closet …which he did. He spent an enormous amount of time designing these closets – a process that gave him the peace of mind he couldn’t provide himself.

Join us on a journey back in time to learn how one man managed to produce an immense amount of internationally recognized designs before dying at an early age.

The ice is melting, and the five countries surrounding the Arctic Ocean, Norway, Denmark, Canada, USA, and Russia, are competing for the scarce natural resources that the diminishing ice cap is making accessible: Oil, gas, minerals and rare soil types.

But can the ruthless exploitation of the natural resources of the Earth continue? …An exploitation that has polluted the atmosphere, the Earth, and the oceans and has generated climate changes causing the Arctic ice meltdown.

Africa is on the move was made for broadcasting in West-African countries. Through a handful of interview-portrays, this short film illustrates the present conditions for investors, entrepreneurs and the growing middle class in African growth economies. The film concludes with a local shipping manager who presents how Maersk enables African-international trade.
