March 22, on the international World Water Day, our documentary, There Will be Water, will air on National Geographic US. For three years, we have followed the engineer, Bill Watts and his involvement with the Sahara Forest Project, a green project with the potential successfully to address one of the biggest environmental issues of our time, namely the lack of food and water in the Middle East. It is a challenging task and from the first sod is cut in the ground in Qatar, the obstacles keep piling up. Nevertheless, Bill and his team keep pushing ahead despite the Qatari desert heat and the political, economic, and cultural challenges.
