DAN IS A QUALIFIED CINEMATOGRAPHER FROM THE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF FILM, RADIO, TELEVISION, AND THEATRE, STOCKHOLM, 1978. DAN HAS WORKED AS A DIRECTOR AND CINEMATOGRAPHER ON MORE THAN 100 SHORT FILM AND DOCUMENTARY PRODUCTIONS ALL OVER THE WORLD
Dan’s films have been sold to BBC in England, NBC, PBS, and ABC in the USA, ABC in Australia, NHK in Japan, and TFI, ZDF and ARD in Germany. Dan’s films have been shown on a series of international film festivals and have been awarded the Prix d’Italia, the Special Mention Award at the Kranj Film Festival in the former Yugoslavia, the
Environmental Award, EU, Birmingham, a Baltic Film Festival Award, and the Grand Prix at the Danish Short and Documentary Film Festival, 1998. Dan founded the production company, Dan Säll Film, in 1987 and has – among other – produced ”Homo Lalandiense and the Queen’s Musicians.
